Oregon Man Faces Multiple Charges for Killing Deer, Cougar

The investigation began after elk hunters found three dead deer with heads removed on private property about 15 miles north of Prineville.

(PRINEVILLE, Ore. ) - deer killings A Prineville man was arrested on numerous wildlife-related crimes following an investigation into the killing of four deer for the sole purpose of removing their heads for their antlers.

The investigation of the suspect, who currently had suspended hunting privileges, led to two other suspects who were cited for other wildlife crimes including one for the illegal killing of a cougar.

Unethical Scumbags in Oregon`s State Legislature

The voters know the lawmakers and officials are SUPPOSED to be doing the work of the PEOPLE, not just the work of the lobbyists, and the deeper their apathy goes the hotter their anger grows.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon State Capitol This most recent legislative session that we had in 2007 was nice. It was productive. It avoided most of the acrimony of the previous sessions that were under the iron bootheel of (would-be Empress) Karen Minnis who ran the Oregon House as if it were her own ideological dominion.

Hopefully this February session will see the influence of the lobbyists wane under new ethics rules put in place during the recent session.

Redskins Free Safety Sean Taylor Dead at 24

Miami-Dade Police are investigating the shooting as a possibly burglary gone bad.

(MIAMI) - Sean Taylor Sean Taylor, a free safety for the Washington Redskins, died early on Tuesday, a day after being shot by an intruder in his Miami-area home.

Taylor, 24, was shot in the upper leg, but bullet struck the femoral artery, and he has lost a lot of blood. Taylor intercepted 12 passes in his Redskins career, including five this season.

Icy Roads Reported in Several Parts of Washington County

More ice will probably form by morning, please allow time to travel in the morning.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Icy road Washington County Sheriff's deputies say they are responding to several reported crashes due to icy road conditions.

At the time of this report, there are no serious injuries involved in any of the crashes in Washington County, but a fatal crash currently has Lafayette Highway closed near McMinnville. That head-on crash is blamed on an icy bridge.

Fatal Crash Closes SE Lafayette Highway

Anyone who needs to travel between Lafayette and McMinnville should use an alternate route.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police are on the scene of a fatal traffic crash on SE Lafayette Highway near SE Stockoff Road, southeast of McMinnville.

Police say preliminary information is that a northbound passenger car with a female operator lost control on an icy bridge and spun into the southbound lane where it collided with a sport utility vehicle with four occupants.

Stayton Man Faces Rape and Sex Abuse Charges

Police working on the case believe the alleged contact occurred in the suspect's Stayton residence.

(STAYTON, Ore.) - Handcuffs Stayton Police officers arrested a man in connection with a report of child sex abuse. Sergeant Michael Meeks with Stayton Police says the suspect, 24-year old Justin J Scott of Stayton, faces several charges.

"Investigators believe Justin Scott had sexual contact with a minor relative."

Quiet Riot Lead Singer, Kevin DuBrow, Dead at 52 (VIDEO)

The original band was started by Randy Rhoads in 1975, but broke up in 1979 when Rhoads went on to join Ozzy Osbourne's band.

(LAS VEGAS) - Kevin DuBrow The lead singer of the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot, has died.

Kevin DuBrow died at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to TMZ.com. He was 52. The Clark County coroner's office was examining the body to determine the cause of death, according to TMZ.
