4 Killed After News Helicopters Collide in Phoenix

The NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash.

(PHOENIX, Ariz. ) - fatal crash image Two TV news helicopters following a police car pursuit collided over central-north Phoenix on Friday killing four people.

Killed in the crash were KTVK-TV pilot Scott Bowerbank and photographer Jim Cox along with KNXV-TV pilot Craig Smith and photojournalist Rick Krolak.

The crash occurred around 12:45 PM in Steele Indian School Park near Third Street and Indian School Road.

Oregon Consumers Urged to Check Cupboards for Recalled Foods

Swallowing even tiny traces of botulinum toxin can be lethal.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - chili sauce photo Oregon state health officials today urged consumers to check their cupboards for any of 90 different canned food items recalled in the wake of four U.S. botulism cases.

Two people in Texas and two in Indiana — were hospitalized recently after eating a chili sauce manufactured by Castleberry's in Augusta, Georgia.

The recall includes: canned chili and chili sauces, stews, hash, corned beef and other items sold under several brand names, as well as Natural Choice brand dog food.

Salem Man Arrested on Sex Abuse and Drug Charges

In the home detectives found less than a gram of methamphetamine and .25 lb of marijuana.

Oregon Authorities Searching for Child Taken by Mentally Unstable Father

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the father or child, or the vehicle they may be in, is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Jesus Merino Leyva Portland police are asking for the public's help in locating a 3-year-old boy who was taken by his father from his mothers home.

On Thursday, at 12:45 AM, Northeast Precinct officers were flagged down in the 6800 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street by the mother of a missing 3-year-old boy.

Investigators believe the father is mentally unstable, and poses an immediate threat to the child’s safety.

Vancouver Police Make Arrest in Drug Homicide

Police say Sandra Schmidt provided the drugs that caused Tonja Lynn's death.

(VANCOUVER, Wash. ) - handcuffed woman image Vancouver Police Detectives on Thursday arrested 51-year- old Sandra K. Schmidt for Controlled Substance Homicide.

Schmidt is believed to have caused the death of her roommate, 38-year-old Tonja Lynn, while they both were residing at 1021 W. 36th Street, in Vancouver.

Lynn was found deceased at the residence on May 6th.

Keizer Pizza Parlor Damaged by Fire

Preliminary estimates place the loss to the structure at approximately $50,000 and approximately $5,000 to contents.

The fire started as a result of the fryer overheating and igniting the oil.

An employee was nearby and discovered the fire immediately activating the hood suppression system.

Blast at California Airport Kills Two, Injures Four

The cause of the blast is still under investigation.

Media reports say the injured were airlifted to Kern Medical Center about 45 miles from the airport following the blast at Mojave Airport.
