Vancouver Police Officer Recovering After Being Shot

Corporal LeBlanc is a long time member of the SW Washington Regional SWAT Team.

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - Vancouver Police Corporal Chris LeBlanc was shot Wednesday night during a SWAT operation at a residence in Southeast Vancouver.

This morning Corporal LeBlanc underwent surgery. Police Spokesperson Kim Kapp says he is currently recovering. "All indications from the medical staff are that he came through the surgery just fine and is doing well."

Missing Female Hiker Found Alive

Kelli Bryan walked out of the forest shortly after 3:00 Thursday.

(OLALLIE LAKE, Ore.) - The search for a missing hiker in the Olallie Lake area is over and the 21-year old Linfield College student is alive and well.

Upwards of 60 searchers had responded to the area to search for Kelli Bryan. She had a job at nearby Olallie Lake and is considered an experienced hiker.

Fatal Crash Discovered off Highway 101 North of Port Orford

(PORT ORFORD, Ore.) - Police say a Bandon-area man was found deceased in his sport utility vehicle Thursday morning after it was involved in an overnight single vehicle traffic crash along Highway 101 about seven miles north of Port Orford.

Around 9:30 AM, bicyclist reported discovering a previously unreported crash involving a vehicle over an embankment on the west side of Highway 101 near milepost 291.

In a June 27th letter to Wyden, Secretary Kempthorne identified Mr. Limbaugh—then Assistant Secretary for Water and Science—as chairman of the Department’s newly constituted Conduct Accountability Board, which he wrote would be charged with reviewing the ethics issues raised in the Inspector General’s report on Julie MacDonald.

Krummel Compels DHS To Retract Foster Parent Gun Policy

New temporary rules without restrictions on guns were released July 13th.

(SALEM, Ore.) - "DHS infringed on Oregon foster parents’ lawful exercise of their Second Amendment Rights," said State Representative Jerry Krummel (R-Wilsonville) after learning about a new policy adopted this past spring.

Injured Man Rescued from Cliff Near Depoe Bay

Coast Guard Air Facility North Bend received a call at approximately 4:45 PM from a 911 dispatcher that the man was spotted halfway down a cliff waving his arms for assistance.
