Woman Falls from Cliff, Three More Plucked from Oregon Coastal Waters

Coast Guard Group Astoria also responded to a report of three people in the water at Seaside, Ore.

(SEASIDE, Ore. ) - A Coast Guard helicopter crew airlifted a woman who fell from a cliff at Ecola State Park near Seaside, Ore., Wednesday.

Coast Guard Air Station Astoria received a call from the Seaside dispatch center at 4:00 PM that the woman and two Good Samaritans were in need of rescuing from the bottom of the cliff.

The 18-year-old woman injured herself when she fell nearly 50 vertical feet into a cove on the South side of the park.

(TEHRAN, Iran) - The Iran Supreme Court says a 20-year old woman will hang for a murder that took place when she was 17 years old.

Reports indicate that Delara Darabi.’s 19-year old boyfriend, Amir Hossein, convinced her to admit responsibility for the murder of a woman that he committed, to protect him from execution. Believing she would not be sentenced to death because she was still 17, the Delara gambled and lost. In spite of the sentence, her friends aren't giving up.

Oregon Groom on Honeymoon Dies From Car Striking Cow

The bride was able to remove her husband from the car with help from a passing motorist.

(BURNS, Ore.) - Tragedy struck a Nyssa-area couple returning home from their honeymoon Tuesday night. Police say the groom, 19-year old Ramiro Gonzalez, died when their car struck a cow in the highway, about 20 miles from Burns.

Police say the couple was returning from their honeymoon in Northern California just before 11:00 PM, eastbound when it collided with a cow on the highway.

Vancouver`s Most Wanted Captured in Las Vegas

Eldred was wanted on an outstanding warrant for First Degree Rape of a Child.

(LAS VEGAS, Nev.) - Vancouver's Most Wanted suspect, Robert Eldred was apprehended in Las Vegas after members of the SW Washington Career Criminal Apprehension Team developed information indicating Eldred was on a flight from Chicago to Las Vegas.

Kim Kapp with Vancouver Police, says detectives contacted their counterparts with the U.S. Marshals Service and requested assistance in contacting Eldred when he landed in Las Vegas.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau Homicide Unit have obtained an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Christopher Blaine Gaston in connection with the June 15th, shooting of five individuals in the 9600 block of North Clarendon Avenue.

A warrant charging Gaston with Attempted Murder and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm has been issued in connection with the ongoing investigation.
