Search Warrant Sweep Leads to Many Arrests and Seizure of Over 1 1/2 Pound of Meth

The search warrants led to the arrests of seven people, $37,022.00 in cash, 1 ½ pounds of Methamphetamine, 3 ounces of Cocaine.. Seven children were taken into protective custody by DHS and a 9mm handgun.

(KEIZER) - Several local police agencies working together as the Marion County Methamphetamine Strike Force, served search warrants were served at eight locations in Marion and Polk Counties Friday

Lt. Doug Garrett with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office says the operation marked the culmination of a three-month investigation by the newly formed Meth Strike Force.

Three Vehicle Crash Closes Oregon Highway 224

OSP is participating in the traffic crash investigation involving a Clackamas County Sheriff's patrol vehicle; a passenger vehicle and an empty log truck.

(DAMASCUS, Ore.) - A three vehicle crash is reported on SE State Hwy 224, near the intersection of SE 232 Drive, in Damascus.

Preliminary information received from the scene suggests a passenger vehicle and patrol vehicle struck head-on; which sent the patrol vehicle into the path of a traveling empty logging truck.

Additional information reveals one of the involved vehicles is a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle; in operation with a deputy driver, and recruit deputy passenger.

Oregon Pastor Arrested on Theft Charges

The joint investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected in Multnomah and other counties.

(SANDY, Ore.) - A Sandy-area pastor was arrested Friday morning related to criminal allegations involving multiple victims' real estate transactions.

The ongoing criminal investigation involved federal, state, and local authorities, and a tip line is available for anyone with information regarding the suspect's activities.

Keizer Building Smashed by Car for the Second Time

The same building was struck by a driver fleeing Salem Police in 1992. Unlike that incident, today's crash did not involve a fatality.

(KEIZER) - Keizer Police officers responded to a report of a crash at 3380 River Road North, Dan’s Pawn Shop, Friday at 12:10 AM. A motor vehicle had crashed into the building, and a person calling 911 said the driver was trying to leave the incident.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns says officers arrived on scene within three minutes and were able to contact the driver before she left. Kuhns says she was identified as 23-year old Carly Mamizuka of Salem. She had been operating a black 1996 GMC Sierra pick-up.

Oregon State Grad Named 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year

Sara Jean Underwood grew up in Scappoose, Oregon.

(LOS ANGELES) - Oregon State University grad Sara Jean Underwood went from Playboy's Girls of the Pac 10 cover to Miss July 2006, and, now, Playmate of the Year.

She appeared on the cover of the October 2005 issue holding a football with nothing but bodypaint on her to simulate her wearing a jersey similar in design to the ones worn by the OSU Beavers football team with matching bikini briefs.

Marion County Offering Amnesty for Dog License Violators

All owners and keepers of dogs in Marion County are required by law to purchase a license when a dog reaches six months of age.

(KEIZER) - Marion County Dog Control will offer amnesty for late fees and licensing violations as well as licenses and vaccinations from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday, May 5th, at Copper Creek Mercantile, 4415 River Rd NE in Keizer.

Dr. Susan MacCarthy, DVM, will provide low-cost vaccinations, health exams, microchipping and flea products for both dogs and catsfrom her mobile clinic at the Marion County licensing booth.

Licenses are $17 a year for neutered or spayed dogs and $32 for unaltered dogs.

UPDATE: Overnight Three Alarm Fire Damages Linn County Seed Company

Oregon Highway 99-E re-opened to traffic at noon.

(TANGENT, Ore.) - A three-alarm fire ripped through a Linn County seed company this morning.

Firefighters from five agencies are on scene putting out hot-spots.

The fire was reported just after 1:00 AM at the Beta Seed Company in Tangent by a person walking by who noticed smoke and flames coming from the building.

Police say the abduction took place in Poulsbo, Washington on Wednesday, May 2nd at 5:00 PM.
