(PORTLAND) - Classes at Portland Community College Rock Creek campus are cancelled today after a threatening note found in a bathroom yesterday.

Keizer Police Investigate Suspicious Death

Keizer Police say very limited details are being released at this time due to the nature and sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Officers from the Keizer Police Department responded to the 8500 block of Windsor Island Road North Tuesday at 2:15 PM on a report of a possible deceased subject that was found near this location.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns says responding officers confirmed the finding was indeed that of a deceased person, it is now under investigation as a suspicious death. Kuhns says cases like this draw numerous resources.

U.S. Airmen Missing in Action from Vietnam War Identified

In 2005, teams found Getchell's identification tag, human remains and additional crew-related items at the crash site.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office announced on Tuesday, that the remains of two U.S. servicemen, missing in action from the Vietnam War, have been identified and will be returned to their families for burial with full military honors.

They are Col. Norman D. Eaton, of Weatherford, Okla., and Lt. Col. Paul E. Getchell, of Portland, Maine, both U.S. Air Force.

On Jan. 13th, 1969, Eaton and Getchell crewed a B-57B Canberra bomber participating in a nighttime attack on targets in Salavan Province, Laos.

Rollover Crash at Oregon Coast Sends Four Juveniles to the Hospital

Investigators say alcohol or drugs is NOT suspected as a result of the traffic crash.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore. ) - The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that sent two male juveniles to the hospital with serious injuries.

On Monday, just after 4:00 PM, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, North Lincoln Fire and Pacific West Ambulance responded to the crash on Drift Creek Rd.

When Deputies arrived they learned that a 1997 standard cab Ford Ranger driven by a juvenile male was traveling south on Drift Creek Rd. at an unknown speed.

Police, CAP, Searching Oregon Coast for Missing Elderly Man

He was driving a dark green 1996 Ford Winstar van with Oregon licence plates WHQ-846.

(GOLD BEACH, Ore. ) - The Oregon Civil Air Patrol is continuing a missing person search with a Cessna 182 search aircraft from Bend in support of the Curry County Sheriff in their continuing search for an 83-year-old Harbor, Oregon man, William Boyer

Boyer was last seen leaving his home on Saturday afternoon , April 21st , when he left to attend a Marine Corps League meeting at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Brookings.

The former Marine, who requires daily medication, reportedly did not arrive at the church.

OSP Seeking Information on Turkey Killings in Eastern Oregon

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

(BAKER CITY, Ore. ) - The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public's help in locating the person or persons responsible for the unlawful take and waste of turkeys near Baker City.

On April 19th, OSP Fish & Wildlife Division Senior Trooper Chris Hawkins responded to a report of two plastic garbage bags containing turkeys dumped off of Grey Eagle Mine Road near Baker City

Keizer Fire Calls Surge in Recent Weeks (VIDEO)

Increasing medical calls are increasing the load for this mostly volunteer fire department.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Firefighters in Keizer have been putting long hours in, as an unusually high number of calls continue to place increased demands on their mostly volunteer agency. Fire Spokesman Jim Trett says numbers are far above last year.

“The first quarter of 2007 just saw a tremendous surge, 17 percent; we’re up to 944 calls for the quarter, which is a call about every two and a half hours. For one station, that’s keeping us fairly busy.”

Iraq Suicide Attack Kills Nine U.S. Soldiers

At least 48 Iraqis were killed in seven other bombings yesterday.

(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - Nine Task Force Lightning soldiers died as a result of injuries suffered from an explosion near a patrol base in Iraq's Diyala province yesterday, military officials reported.

Twenty soldiers and one Iraqi civilian were wounded when a car bomb attacked the patrol base.

Twelve soldiers were returned to duty after initial medical care, and eight soldiers and the Iraqi civilian were evacuated to a coalition forces medical treatment facility for further care.
