(ALASKA) - An accident on the HMS Tireless Submarine operating in the Arctic claimed the life of two British sailors. The Ministry of Defense confirms that two Royal Navy personnel were killed in an accident aboard HMS Tireless Wednesday.

The two members of the crew died as a result of the initial accident. British authorities say they have notified the sailor's next of kin.

(MALIBU, Calif. ) - Embattled pop star Britney Spears checked out of Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facility on Tuesday.

The pop star's manager said in a statement released by Jive Records that she left “after successfully completing their program.”

Spears entered the facility on February 21st, after some highly publicized bizarre behavior that included getting her head shaved bald, and beating a car with an umbrella.

The budget resolution, which is expected to be reported out of the House Budget Committee tonight, creates a reserve fund in the FY 08 budget if the House votes to reauthorize the bill.
