Keizer Fire Crews Extinguish House Fire

(Keizer) - Keizer fire logo Units of the Keizer Fire District responded to the report of a house fire shortly after 9:00 pm on Wednesday


Nobody was hurt in a Keizer house fire at 1137 Ring St. NE Wednesday that broke out around 9:00 PM. The family`s pets were also recovered safely.

Fire Evacuation at the Oregon Lottery Building

(Salem) - Fire fighters after the Lottery building fire was extinguished. An out of the ordinary sight could be had outside the Oregon Lottery building Wednesday morning, just before 11:00. That`s when the fire alarm went off, sending 300 people onto the lottery lawn, fire trucks in route.

Captain Don Fleck requested a first alarm assignment, sending a total of 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, and a Battalion Chief to the scene at 500 Airport Road SE, Salem. When they arrived, they discovered smoke on the second floor of the building.

Police Recover Cash and Property Stolen From the Salem-Keizer School District During Drug Bust

(Corvallis) - Lance Bronson, Max Broek, Luke Martin, Akram Abdelli, Nathan Price and Amar Wanly Corvallis Police Detectives have arrested six men who they say had been actively selling several ounces of marijuana per day through the Corvallis area.

Lt. Ron Noble says on Feb. 21st, detectives arrested Lance Bronson, Max Broek, Luke Martin, Amar Wanly, Nathan Price and Akram Abdelli on various charges which stemmed from a delivery of marijuana investigation.

Be Aware! Turner Road Under I-5 Closed Two Nights Next Week

Be Aware!

(Salem) - Turner Road under Interstate 5 in south Salem will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday, March 7th and Wednesday, March 8th from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge work.

Turner Road crosses under I-5 and connects Mission Street (Oregon 22, the N. Santiam Highway) with Kuebler Boulevard. Turner Road traffic will be detoured around the work zone using Kuebler Boulevard from the south, and Airway Drive from the north.

Oregon Snowpack Above Average Despite Dry February

(Mt. Hood AP) - It's been a good winter for those who depend on a plentiful snowpack.

A wet and snowy December and January has allowed Oregon to weather a drier than average February.

The snowpack stood at 116 percent of normal as of Monday.

Oregon Average Gasoline Price Still Falling

National Average Price Nudges Upward

(Salem) - The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Portland metropolitan area fell more the 4-cents in the past week, dropping below Salem`s average price, and is within pennies of the price paid one year ago. Across the river, the Vancouver average price declined by more than 7-cents a gallon to $2.06. The Oregon statewide average went down 3-cents a gallon, but the national average price crept upward by less than half a cent.

Suspects considered armed and dangerous

(Salem) - Juan Ortiz-Cisneros and Juan Cisneros-Espinoza An early morning shooting at 4125 Center St. NE in Salem left one person dead, and police searching for two suspects they believe are connected to the homicide that happened early Sunday morning.

Witnesses at the scene spotted two men leaving the scene after the shooting. At this point, 20-year old Juan Bernardo Ortiz-Cisneros and 20-year old Juan Manuel Cisneros-Espinoza, suspects in the shooting, remain at large...
