(EUGENE) - Alison Leiner had four goals and an assist and Jen May tallied three goals with an assist as the Ducks won their third straight game, 11-8, over Longwood Thursday night at Pape' Field.
The Ducks are undefeated on their homestand and off to the best start in program history at 6-3, while the Lancers fall to 0-5 on the year.
Once again, the Ducks opened the game quickly, jumping out to a quick 5-1 lead in the first 15 minutes.

(SALEM) - The Willamette University softball team, which took second place at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Leadoff Classic this past weekend, has moved into the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll as the #5 team in the nation.
Willamette, 7-4 on the season, has losses only to teams even higher in this week's poll.
The Bearcats to not play this weekend, but return to action on Saturday, March 24th at George Fox University.

(AUBURN HILLS, Mich. ) - Oregon State 174-pounder Jeremy Larson and heavyweight Ty Watterson have reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Wrestling Championships after winning a pair of matches Thursday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
OSU 125-pounder Eric Stevenson and 197-pounder Travis Gardner remain in the wrestleback brackets.
OSU 133-pounder Bobby Pfennigs, 149-pounder Derek Kipperberg and 184-pounder Kyle Bressler were eliminated with a pair of losses Thursday.
Larson and Watterson are the first OSU wrestlers to reach the NCAA quarterfinals since Eric Jorgensen in 2001.

(SPOKANE, Wash. ) - Although it opened the season with the school's longest winning streak in nearly 70 years, Oregon appears to be playing its best basketball heading into the NCAA tournament.
The Ducks look to carry the momentum from an astounding run through their conference tournament into Friday's matchup with Miami of Ohio, one of the biggest surprises to make the field of 65.
Oregon (26-7) has won six in a row, including an 81-57 rout of Southern California in the Pac-10 championship game Saturday.

(MONMOUTH) - Western Oregon pitching held Concordia to just eight hits and one run on the day, and Krysta Pennington and Shannon Prochaska gave the Wolves just enough offense to claim a doubleheader sweep over the Cavaliers (5-1, 1-0) on Wednesday afternoon at the WOU Softball Field
The Wolves, who have now won nine of their last 11 games, improved to 9-9 on the season with the non-conference wins. Concordia fell to 4-3.
In the nightcap, pinch-hitter Prochaska drilled a single down the leftfield line to score pinch-runner Jessica Merriman with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

(EUGENE) - The 14th-ranked University of Oregon softball team brings its 24-3 record to its home opener at Howe Field this weekend, hosting a doubleheader against Utah State in the first game of the Cascade Clash.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday.
In addition to Utah State, Oregon welcomes Towson (8-4) for Saturday’s doubleheader, and South Dakota State (9-7) to close the tournament on Sunday.

(EUGENE) - University of Oregon students will receive free admission and free pizza at Saturday’s second round WNIT game featuring the Duck women’s basketball team at McArthur Court.
The Oregon athletics department is picking up the tickets at a cost of $10 per student and head coach Bev Smith is buying the pizza.
Students will be seated in Section 10 prior to the 7:00 PM tip-off.
