Salem-News.com Sports (November 02, 2006 12:58)Oregon State at Hawaii Football Game to be Broadcast by ESPN 2 Salem-News.com SPORTSThe game will also be a homecoming for 11 Hawaiians on the Beaver football team. (CORVALLIS) - ESPN announced Wednesday that it will air the Dec. 2nd Oregon State at Hawaii football game.
Kickoff has been slated for 8:00 PM PST (6:00 PM HST) from Aloha Stadium.
The Beaver football program will be making its first trip to the Islands since the 1999 Oahu Bowl. The program has played a total of six games at UH, winning three.
Hawaii is scheduled to make a return trip to OSU in the near future, although the date has not been finalized.
Oregon State is currently riding a three-game winning streak and has moved into a tie for fourth place in the Pac-10 at 3-2, 5-3 overall.

It is free, but you will need to register on the KBOI website. Start time is 7:05 PM, mountain time (6:00 PM Pacific). (MONMOUTH) - Western Oregon will begin phase two of the Craig Stanger era with a pair of exhibitions games this week against NCAA Division I schools. Tonight (Thursday), the Wolves will take on Boise State, and Saturday they will travel to Portland State.
After the weekend of Division I exhibitions, the Wolves will have one more practice round before real play begins, hosting Concordia on Saturday,(7:00 PM).
The Wolves will then play their first regular season games at Chico State’s tournament on Nov. 24th-25th, against the host Wildcats and Humboldt State.

The Blazers first-round draft choice was impressive in his NBA debut scoring 20 point on 10-of-16 shooting in helping the Trail Blazers upset the Supersonics, 100-106, in both teams NBA season opener.
"We were in a dog fight and I was able to make some shots and get my groove going and after that I just felt like I was going well," said Roy. "I felt like the Sonics really didn't know how they wanted to play me off the pick and roll, so I just kept going with it..."

(EUGENE) - With Malik Hairston sitting out the exhibition opener, the Ducks rode their other star recruit out of Detroit’s Renaissance High School to a 93-55 victory over Lewis & Clark College on Wednesday. Freshman Tajuan Porter, playing in his first game in an Oregon uniform, led all scorers with 29 points on 7-of-14 shooting from three point range, and walked off the court to a Mac Court crowd chanting his name.
Two other Ducks, Maarty Leunen and Aaron Brooks, scored in double digits. Leunen coupled his 16 points with 20 rebounds in only 29 minutes of playing time. Although it was an exhibition, Leunen became the first Oregon player to get 20 rebounds in a single game since Greg Ballard did it against Cal in 1977.
Brooks scored 21 as he shot 9-of-14 from the field. The senior guard also added nine assists and five steals.

Most recently, the Ducks routed Portland State, 55-12, to become bowl eligible for the 10th time under head coach Mike Bellotti.
The Huskies, on the other hand, rallied from a 20-6 deficit to force overtime against Arizona State, but fell 26-23 in Seattle.

(CORVALLIS) - Freshman Judie Lomax had 22 rebounds and 15 points, but the Oregon State women’s basketball team saw its last minute rally fall short, as the Beavers dropped their exhibition opener to Team Concept by a 71-68 margin on Wednesday night in Gill Coliseum.
OSU trailed by 10 points (62-52) with just under 10 minutes left in the contest, but used a 14-6 run to pull within two (68-66) when freshman Jasmine Smith buried a 3-pointer with 3:33 on the clock.
