(SALEM) - Corban's men's soccer team had its ticket punched for the NAIA Region I Tournament after an eight-year absence on Sunday, as the tournament's No. 4-seed.
The Warriors will play the tournament's top-seed and Cascade Collegiate regular season champions Concordia at 11:00 AM (MST) on Friday, while Albertson goes head-to-head with tournament host Westminster at 2:00 PM (MST).

"I told (Bass Pro Shops founder) Johnny Morris how bad I wanted that trophy," Stewart said referring to "Big Roar", the 280 pound, 8-foot-tall bronze grizzly bear trophy. "I am building a log house in Columbus, Ind., and that trophy is going somewhere really, really special in it."

(McMINNVILLE) - Linfield overcame six turnovers to win a less-than-spectacular 21-3 Northwest Conference game over Menlo Saturday at sunny Maxwell Field.
Linfield running back Drew Ragan rushed for a career-high 138 yards and scored one touchdown, and Tyler Kaluza had 101 receiving yards and caught a 59-yard touchdown for the Wildcats (5-2, 4-0 NWC).

(FOREST GROVE) - Meghan Fredette scored two minutes into the first overtime, giving Pacific University a 2-1 win over the George Fox University Bruins and snapping the Boxers’ 12-game losing streak in Northwest Conference women’s soccer action Sunday afternoon at Tom Reynolds Field.
Pacific scored the only goal of the first half when Anna Saban-Roach connected off a Kaleigh Stubblefield corner kick in the 9th minute. The kick deflected off of Jenna Johnson-Endo to the feet of Saban-Roach, who shot to the right corner for her second goal of the season.

Auerbach, 89 and who was born on September 20, 1917, passed away suddenly Sunday in Washington, DC.
Red was responsible for 16 World Championships, was known as the greatest coach ever to have lived and the Celtics are dedicating this upcoming season in his honor.

(TACOMA, Wash) - Led by individual championships from Ian Batch and Sarah Zerzan, Willamette University won the men's and women's team titles at the Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the Pacific Lutheran University Golf Course.
It was the sixth consecutive NWC title for the Willamette men's team, while the WU women's team claimed its fifth straight NWC championship.

(NAMPA, Idaho) - Katy McNutt tied the game in the 85th minute, but the Crusaders couldn't hold on as Western Oregon defeated Northwest Nazarene 2-1 in the final Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer match of the season for both teams on Saturday in Nampa.
McNutt, who leads the GNAC in goals scored with 11, evened the score at 1-1 when Hilary Hughes one-touched a header to her just 10-yards in front of the goal.

(SPOKANE, WASH.) - Whitworth College senior quarterback Joel Clark passed for two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown, leading the 11th-ranked Pirates to a 28-14 victory over Willamette University in a Northwest Conference game at the Pine Bowl on Saturday.
Whitworth, now 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the NWC, also scored on a fake field goal late in the first half for a 21-7 halftime lead. The Bearcats fell to 1-6 overall, 1-3 in the NWC.

(STANFORD, Calif.) - The University of Oregon cross country teams enjoyed a successful start to the championship slate Saturday in the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, held on the Stanford Golf Course.
Sophomore Galen Rupp won UO’s 10th individual league title in the 8K race (23:03.12) and was one of four All-Pac-10 honorees that helped the No. 7-ranked Duck men surge into the lead in the final kilometer and win with 53 points, just ahead of host No. 5 Stanford Cardinal (second, 58 points).
