Elmer`s Pancake House in Beaverton Robbed at Gun Point (VIDEO)

After robbing the business, the suspect fled on foot, and was gone before police arrived.

(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Armed Robbery in Beaverton Oregon 2-19-09 An armed robbery suspect was captured on cameras today at Elmer's Pancake House on NW Waterhouse Avenue in Beaverton. Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton Police, says just before 7:30 a.m., a lone male who was armed, walked into the video poker area from an outside door.

"He displayed a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash."

Oregon Coast Landmark Dory Cove Re-Opens with New Name

On the evening of November 29th, 2006 a two alarm fire raced through and destroyed the Dory Cove Restaurant.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - dory cove fire The Dory Cove, a famous Oregon coast landmark that was destroyed by a fire last year, is back with a new name and a new location.

The owners say the restaurant's famous food and clam chowder remains unchanged.

The family-owned and operated business was originally located at 5819 Logan Road, had been serving Lincoln City residents and coastal visitors for more than 33 years, creating traditions for thousands of Oregon residents.

Fundraiser Saturday to Help Employees of Dory Cove Restaurant

The Oregon Coast landmark was gutted by a 2-alarm fire on Nov. 29th

(LINCOLN CITY) - Dory Cove restaurant fire Friends, family, and Dory Cove clam chowder enthusiasts will have a chance Saturday to help the restaurants 32 employees who are still in need of some financial assistance after a 2-alarm fire ripped through the historic Oregon coast restaurant on Nov. 29th

The fundraiser will be held from 6:00 PM to midnight in the Chinook Winds Golf Course Banquet Room, at the Chinook Winds Casino & Resort in Lincoln City.

Food will include Dory Cove clam chowder, and also featured will be music by DJ Joel Mena, the Salmon River Band, dancing, and a silent auction.

Oregon Restaurant Owners Reminded Refrigeration Change Takes Effect January 1st

Oregon has more than 10,000 restaurants and 19,000 total food service establishments.

(SALEM) - Public health officials in the Oregon Department of Human Services are reminding restaurant owners of a new refrigeration requirement that reduces the risk of foodborne illness.

Starting Jan. 1st, restaurants must hold cold foods at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, said Eric Pippert, manager of the foodborne illness prevention program in the DHS Public Health Division.

Oregon adopted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration food safety standards in 2002 that reduced the holding temperature for cold foods from 45 F to 41 F.

Mo`s Restaurants Receives Top Honors at Award Ceremony in D.C. for Supporting Guard Soldiers and Families

The company looks for more and more opportunities to support the men and women of the Oregon National Guard

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Mo's staff with Oregon Governor Kulongoski Mo's Restaurant and Newport Pacific Seafood Corporation were awarded the 2006 National Restaurant Neighbor Award in Washington D.C. in on Sept. 11, 2006.

They were honored before 900 of their peers at the Opening ceremony of the National Restaurant Association Public Affairs Conference. The national award was presented by the NRA President, Steven Anderson. This marks the first time a nominee from Oregon has won this award.

This award also has a monetary prize of $5,000 which John Becker, President of Newport Pacific Seafood Corporation, and Peggy Preisz of Mo's Restaurants have announced will be donated to the Oregon National Guard...
