(SALEM, Ore.) - We began broadcasting live news on Salem-News.com two weeks ago, and that live 7:00 p.m. program will return Friday night, September 18, 2009, with news presenter/anchor Bonnie King.

The ability to deliver live news on the Internet to a mass audience is a relatively new concept. We are using a group out of the Bay Area of California, Justin.tv, to bring the program to you.

At approximately 2:00 p.m Coast Guard Station Coos Bay, Ore., received multiple reports of two people in the water after a 21-foot pleasure boat exploded near the Charleston marina.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Just enough rain to keep it fresh, and all the games, rides, food and entertainment kids young and old could hope for were on the agenda Sunday.

A state fair to remember.

Parking at the fair was free this year, helping offset the costs for families who visited from all over Oregon and beyond. Most of all the fair is about kids. And every age every size, and every type made it and had a fantastic time enjoying the many things to see and do.
