(SALEM) - Hillary Clinton 1984 A hugely publicized YouTube video portraying Hillary Clinton on a huge television screen addressing robot-like humans in a stark, futuristic hall is a remake of the famous Apple 1984 Super Bowl ad.

The ad has been called guerrilla politics at its cleverest and had become a hit of the YouTube video-sharing Web site.

What the animation does it focus on Bush's track record of using Christianity as an excuse for policy, with his six covered by his spokesman and media friends who ensure he is never questioned, substantially.

NCAA Tournament: Oregon Defeats UNLV 76-72 to Advance to Elite Eight

#3 Oregon will play #1 Florida at 2:40 PM ET on Sunday

(ST. LOUIS) - oregon logo Oregon is moving on to the Elite Eight.

The Ducks held-on to beat UNLV 76-72.

Tajuan Porter led the Ducks with 33 points and three rebounds. Malik Hairston chipped in 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Maarty Leunen also had a big game with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Restroom Fire Closes Salem Starbucks

The cause of the fire was determined to be an overheated fan in the restroom.

(SALEM) - Starbucks coffee in Salem, Oregon A report of flames coming out of a Starbucks coffee house sent Salem firefighters scrambling Friday. Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom says the call came in at 10:46 AM.

He says several fire units quickly arrived at the location in downtown Salem at 399 Court Street NE.

"Firefighters received reports prior to their arrival of flames being seen coming from the building. A second alarm was called at 10:48 am sending more firefighters and fire apparatus to the scene."

Senate Rules Committee Passes Out Ethics Reform Package

Legislation tightens reporting requirements, increases penalties and limits gifts, among other reforms.

(SALEM) - Oregon state capitol The Senate Rules Committee today passed out Senate Bill 10, a package of reforms to Oregon’s ethics laws for public officials.

The five-point plan would tighten reporting requirements, strengthen enforcement, limit gifts, increase penalties for violations and implement a “revolving door” limit on legislators becoming lobbyists.

“This ethics reform package responds to the long overdue need to clarify ethics rules and strengthen the penalties for violations,” said Senate Majority Leader Kate Brown (D-Portland), chair of the committee.

Albany, Oregon Man Arrested After Calling in Phony Bomb Threat

The Linn County Courthouse was evacuated for approximately one hour while deputies searched for any suspicious items.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - linn county sheriff The Linn County Courthouse was evacuated this morning after a man called 911 saying he had left a bomb inside.

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says the call came in at 7:58 AM, and the man would not say where he left the bomb.

Dispatchers were able to determine that the call originated from a payphone in downtown Albany.

Newport, Oregon Soldier Dies at Walter Reed Medical Center

Nicholas was injured March 15th when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit while on combat patrol in Baghdad.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Newport Soldier Killed The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

29-year old Nicholas J. Lightner of Newport died March 21st from wounds suffered in Iraq.

He had been transported back to the United States and was under care at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C.

Body Found Friday on Oregon Coast Could be Missing Passenger from Weekend Plane Crash

Police think it may be the body of a missing Woodburn man who hasn't been seen since a weekend plane crash.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - death investigation Oregon State Police, with the assistance of United States Coast Guard, Depoe Bay Fire Department and Lincoln County Medical Examiner, are investigating the discovery of an unidentified body found Friday morning in the surf at Lincoln Beach south of Gleneden Beach.

Today at around daylight, an area resident reported seeing a body floating in the surf at Lincoln Beach about two miles north of Depoe Bay.
