Not even the IndyCar Series' first rainout in nearly seven years could slow him down.

(JOLIET, Ill.) - Kevin Harvick became the first NASCAR Busch Series driver to win two victories at Chicagoland Speedway in the USG DUROCK 300 on Saturday afternoon.
This also marked Harvick's third top-10 finish in five Busch Series races at the 1.5-mile track.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - University of Oregon defensive end Dexter Manley II will transfer from the Ducks’ football program, according to head coach Mike Bellotti.
The 6-2, 280-pound Manley played in 11 of Oregon’s 13 games in his only season in Eugene after transferring from Santa Monica College prior to the 2006 season, recording eight tackles in a reserve role.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - The Portland Trail Blazers have signed guard Steve Blake to a three-year contract, it was announced Friday by Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard.
Blake averaged 6.4 points and 5.0 assists per game in the 2006-07 season split between Milwaukee and Denver, but flourished with the Nuggets, where he put up 8.3 points and 6.6 assists per game in the final 49 games.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - The University of Oregon will reinstate baseball as one of its intercollegiate programs following a 26-year absence.
Director of Athletics Pat Kilkenny said that his decision was based in part upon the financial future of the Ducks' department of athletics as well as a growing interest in the sport on a national level and among University of Oregon constituents and alumni.
Oregon had remained as the only school in the Pacific-10 Conference without a baseball program since it was one of four sports eliminated following the 1980-81 season due to financial considerations. Read Full Article

Ichiro, 33, is hitting .355 (128x361) this season with 13 doubles, 4 triples, 5 home runs and 39 RBI.

(EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. ) - The New Jersey Nets have re-signed free agent guard/forward Vince Carter to a new multi-year contract Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.
Carter, an eight-time All-Star, broke the Nets’ franchise record for points in a season for the second consecutive year in 2006-07, scoring 2,070 points.
Playing in all 82 games last season, the 6-6 product out of North Carolina ranked eighth in the league in scoring (25.2 ppg) while averaging career highs with 6.0 rpg and 4.8 apg.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Florence, Ore., native Ben Voogd will transfer to the University of Oregon head coach Ernie Kent announced Monday.
Voogd, a 6-1 guard, played the last two seasons at Louisiana State and was a member of the Tigers’ 2006 Final Four team.
He averaged 1.2 points, 1.7 assists and 11.6 minutes per game in 63 career appearances at LSU. Read Full Article
