(LA GRANDE, Ore ) - Due to drought conditions in eastern Oregon, daily catch limits of trout and bass have changed at Thief Valley Reservoir effective today.
Biologists are adjusting the catch limits because the reservoir is scheduled to be drained in the summer.
When water levels drops in the reservoir, large numbers of stocked hatchery trout and some warmwater game fish get trapped . Read Full Article

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The Salem Post 9 Highwaymen American Legion AAA baseball team is holding a tryout for the 2007 season on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Corban College.
The tryout is open to players from West Salem, McNary, McKay, Silverton, Blanchet and Salem Academy.
This will be the only tryout for the team.

(ANAHEIM, Calif. ) - Whoever said hard work is rewarded had Travis Moen and the Anaheim Ducks in mind in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Moen, a member of the Ducks' checking line, scored the winning goal at 17:09 of the third period, completing an Anaheim comeback for a 3-2 Ducks win and a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
For Moen, scoring his second game winner of the playoffs, the first coming in the second round against Vancouver, was a career highlight.

San Antonio ended Utah's perfect home postseason with a 91-79 triumph on Monday night.

The Bruins (30-26) will make their third NCAA Regional appearance in the last four years when they face No. 3 seed Pepperdine (35-20) at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 1 at Long Beach State's Blair Field.

Mears' victory marked the fourth time in five years that a Hendrick Motorsports entry has won the 600-mile classic.
