(ANTHEM, Ariz. ) - A six-run 7th-inning outburst enabled George Fox University to break open a tight ballgame and the Bruins went on to defeat the Whittier College Poets 12-5 Sunday afternoon at the Boulder Creek High School varsity field, completing a 4-0 run as the only undefeated team in the 2007 Arizona Desert Classic baseball tournament.
The Bruins held a slim 4-3 lead heading into the 7th before exploding, the big blow of the inning a bases-clearing double by Pat Bailey.

The two innings were the difference for the Sagehens, who defeated Willamette, 9-7 and 11-6.
Pomona-Pitzer, which rallied from a 7-3 deficit in the first game and built a 5-3 lead early in the second game, improved to 4-1 on the season.

(SURPRISE, Ariz.) - Oregon State’s Mike Lissman homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs as the 15th-ranked Beavers beat Missouri 9-2 on Sunday morning for the championship of the Coca-Cola Classic baseball tournament at Surprise Stadium.
It was the 400th win at OSU for head coach Pat Casey, who is in his 13th season at Oregon State (9-1 overall).

Corban returns to the court on Tuesday, February 20th, for a tournament-opening game against the tournament's No. 7-seeded Concordia beginning at 7:30 PM inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

(SALEM) - Championship Saturday at the OSAA State Wrestling championships produced two individual champions from the Central Valley Conference.
Plenty of other hardware was also brought home by numerous CVC grapplers taking part in the 6A tournament at the State Fairgrounds Pavilion in Salem.
Sprague's RJ Pena, the number one seed in the 125 pound division, and the top ranked competitor in his class nationally, was never threatened as he bested conference rival Tanner Robertson of Redmond 14-3 in the title match.

Willamette finished the season at 5-20 overall and 3-13 in the Northwest Conference.
Whitman concluded the year at 12-13 overall, 7-9 in the conference.

The Bruins, defeating the Pioneers for the 26th straight time, finished the regular season 17-6 overall and 13-3 in the conference, sharing the crown with the University of Puget Sound Loggers, 61-57 winners at Linfield College Saturday.
