(BALTIMORE) - For the first time ever, the Oregon women's lacrosse team finds itself ranked by Inside Lacrosse DI Media Poll.
The Ducks earned the No. 20 ranking thanks to their upset victory over the Stanford Cardinal (ranked No. 16 at the time) on February 10th and their dominating performance last Sunday against UC Davis.

(NAMPA, Idaho) - Western Oregon throwers Anthony Marin and Sabrina Freed won their respective Great Northwest Athletic Conference indoor titles in the weight throw, highlighting Wolves efforts in the GNAC Championships on Monday at the Idaho Center Sports Complex.
Marin set a GNAC championships mark with a throw of 59-8 ¼.
That throw was also the second longest in Western Oregon history, only behind Ryan Parshall’s 1995 heave of 60-2.

(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.) - Kevin Harvick nipped Mark Martin at the start/finish line to capture the 49th annual Daytona 500 -- the closest Daytona 500 finish since the advent of computer scoring.
Harvick, who started seventh on the green-white-checkered finish, got drafting help on the outside from Matt Kenseth on the final lap and edged Martin at the start/finish line by less than a half a car length while a multi-car accident broke out behind.
Martin, attempting to win his first Daytona 500 on his 23rd start, said the lack of drafting help coming off of Turn 4 proved the difference at the finish.

Willamette upped its record to 2-4 overall, while CSU-San Marcos dropped to 3-10.

(EUGENE) - Sophomore Ilsa van den Berg tallied her second hat trick in as many games as Oregon (2-0, 2-0) defeated the UC Davis Aggies (0-1, 0-1), 12-6, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game Sunday afternoon at Pape' Field.
Van den Berg was one of four Ducks to tally three points in the victory, along with Lindsay Killian, Theresa Waldron, and Jana Bradley.
