Willamette, opened its season on Friday with a 7-2 win at Whitworth College.

(STANFORD, Calif.) - Brook Lopez scored a career-high 26 points and keyed a big second-half run that helped Stanford beat No. 15 Oregon for the 21st consecutive time at Maples Pavilion, 88-69 Saturday night.
The Ducks' once solid tournament credentials took a hit after being swept in the Bay Area by California and Stanford for the seventh straight season.
The Cardinal (17-8, 9-5 Pac-10) wrapped up their 14th straight home sweep against the Oregon schools.

The victory gives the Saints back-to-back wins for the first time this season, and also gives them revenge over WOU, who won the first match-up between the two teams last month.

Joe Paterson and Eddie Kunz combined to pitch a five-hitter for the Beavers (8-1 overall) in a matchup of the teams picked to finish atop the Pac-10.

Ultimately, Cal Poly won the game by hitting 8-10 free throws in the final 33 seconds.
However, the Mustangs rode a career-best effort from Derek Stockalper, which included 37 points and nine three-point field goals.

OSU recorded a 9-2 victory over Wright State and then topped Cal State Northridge by a 6-1 score.

For the second straight day, the Bruins put a dozen runs on the board, banging out 13 hits and using an eight-run 2nd inning to quickly seize control.
