No. 20 Washington State Pounds Oregon State, 70-55

The Beavers had won three straight and 12 of the last 15 games between the schools.

(PULLMAN, Wash.) - The Oregon State Beavers are still trying to beat a ranked opponent, something they haven’t done in four years.

Robbie Cowgill had a career-high 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 20 Washington State to a 70-55 victory over Oregon State on Thursday night.

Sasa Cuic had 17 points and Marcel Jones added 14 for Oregon State (9-12 overall, 1-7 Pac-10), which shot 37 percent from the floor.

Crusaders Hold Off Western Oregon, 74-70

Travis Kuhns had 19 off the bench to lead the Wolves.

(MONMOUTH) - Northwest Nazarene had five players in double figures and held off a last-minute Western Oregon run to win a 74-70 men’s basketball game on Thursday night at the Physical Education Building.

The victory gave the Crusaders a win for head coach Tim Hills against his former team.

Hills led the Wolves program from 2003-05.

Washington Upsets No. 7 Oregon, 89-77

Oregon is now 6-1 away from Eugene this year.

(SEATTLE) - Salem-News.com SportsJustin Dentmon scored 24 points and had seven assists to lead Washington to an 89-77 victory over No. 7 Oregon on Thursday night.


Bryce Taylor scored 19 points to lead Oregon (18-2 overall, 6-2 Pac-10), which was playing without their leader Aaron Brooks, the Pac-10's scoring leader, who was suspended for the game.


Brooks, who was averaging 18.4 points per game, sat out as his final penalty for elbowing the Huskies Ryan Appleby in the face during a conference tournament game last March

Oregon State Begins Title Defense With No-Hitter

It was OSU’s first no-hitter since April 11th, 1967.

(HILO, Hawaii) - Oregon State’s Mike Stutes, Josh Keller, Mark Grbavac and Jorge Reyes combined to pitch a no-hitter as the Beavers beat Hawaii-Hilo 5-0 on Thursday evening in the baseball season-opener for both teams at Wong Stadium.

It was the third no-hitter in OSU history, and the first in 40 years.

Stutes struck out seven hitters in five innings of work, then Keller worked two innings and Grbavac and Reyes one each to finish off the no-hitter.
