(SALEM) - The postseason awards continue to add up for Willamette University junior offensive lineman Brandon Bennett, as he has been named to the 2006 Associated Press Little All-America Third Team in addition to receiving two new honors from other organizations.
He has been chosen as a D3football.com Honorable Mention All-America selection and as a North-American Interfraternity Conference All-Fraternity First Team All-America player.
He has now been named to four All-America Teams this year.

(FAIRFAX, Va.) - ExxonMobil and Penske Racing has announced that 2006 Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish Jr. will drive the #12 Mobil 1 Dodge in seven NASCAR Busch Series races during the 2007 season.
Hornish’s 2007 Busch Series schedule will not conflict with his IndyCar commitments.

(NEW YORK) - Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James and Houston Rockets center Yao Ming led all players in votes received in the NBA All-Star Balloting program presented by T-Mobile that determines starters for the 2007 NBA All-Star Game.
James, who earned Most Valuable Player honors in last year’s midseason classic in Houston, received 2,516,049 votes, the second-highest total in history behind Yao’s 2005 total of 2,558,278.
Yao received 2,451,718 votes this year, the fourth-highest total ever.

(SEATTLE) - Seattle Mariners executive vice president and general manager of baseball operations Bill Bavasi announced on Thursday that the Mariners have signed free agent left-handed pitcher Arthur Rhodes to a Minor League contract.
Rhodes also received an invitation to Major League camp with Seattle.
Rhodes has a career record of 75-60 with 30 saves and a 4.31 ERA in parts of 16 Major League seasons.

(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.) - Alex Gurney, son of racing legend Dan Gurney, behind the wheel of the No. 99 GAINSCO Pontiac Riley, captured the pole for the 45th anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Thursday at historic Daytona International Speedway.
Gurney toured the 3.56-mile road course of "The World Center of Racing in a Daytona Prototype record time of 1 minute, 43.475 seconds, 123.856 mph.
Gurney will be sharing the driving duties on the No. 99 car with Jon Fogarty, Jimmy Vasser and Bob Stallings.
