Clackamas County Sheriff`s Office Seeking Missing Woman

Anyone who observes this missing person or vehicle are requested to contact their nearest local law enforcement.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has received a report of a missing person described to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's. At 11:00 AM this morning relatives of Patricia Lynn Aarons; born in March, 1938 reported her disappearance to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Detective Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says it was determined Patricia Aarons is diagnosed with Alzheimer's; and is driving a 1998 Toyota Corolla 4-door, blue in color; with Washington License plate 822-TCI.

Hillsboro Police Shoot Gunman that Threatened Firefighters

All the area schools have been taken out of lockdown and children should be on their way home.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - A man who firefighters say threatened them with a gun, was shot to death by Hillsboro Police officers Wednesday afternoon. The incident resulted in several schools being placed in lockdown.

Hillsboro Police Officers responded to an area near SE Century and SE Lois St. to assist the Hillsboro Fire Department at 2:10 PM. Fire crews said they were being threatened by a man with a gun.

Salem Traffic Stop Nets 24 Pounds of Marijuana

Both the driver and passenger face a long list of charges.

(SALEM) - Salem Police received a tip from a concerned citizen about a careless driver on the streets of Salem late Tuesday.

When Officer Jared Noack spotted the vehicle, the erratic driving confirmed he had located the right vehicle.

But what Officer Noack did not know at the time he contacted the driver was that there were 24 pounds of Marijuana hidden inside the cargo area of the vehicle.

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month in Oregon

Research shows that approximately 80 percent of motorcycle crashes injure or kill a motorcycle rider.

(SALEM) - Governor Ted Kulongoski has proclaimed May “Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month” in Oregon.

Oregon is joining with other federal, state and local highway safety and law enforcement organizations in a nationwide campaign designed to raise awareness about sharing the road with motorcyclists.

“With warmer weather coming, more motorcycles will be on the roads. Drivers of passenger vehicles need to be extra alert,” said Michele O’Leary, motorcycle safety program manager for the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Gresham Police Seek RV Thieves

A reward is being offered to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

(GRESHAM, Ore. ) - The Gresham Police Department is asking for the public's help with identifying those responsible for breaking into several recreational vehicles at Gresham RV, located at 325 NE Hogan.

There have been multiple incidents at the business, the first being at the end of April 2007.

It has been estimated that over $30,000 worth of electronics and other items have been stolen.

Oregon Man Arrested on Meth Charges, Furnishing Beer to Teen

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - An Oregon State Police trooper, with the assistance of an OSP drug dog, seized approximately one ounce of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Tuesday evening on Interstate 5 about one mile south of Woodburn.

Accompanying the suspect were two passengers, ages 14 and 3, one of which was also drinking a Corona beer provided by the suspect.

Prior to the stop, the trooper noted a juvenile male passenger, later determined to be 14 years of age, was drinking from a bottle of Corona beer.

Feds Seek Answers Into Empress of the North Grounding

Forty workers and 208 passengers were shuttled back to Juneau with the help of a U.S. Coast Guard cutter and other vessels, including a state ferry.

(JUNEAU, Alaska) - A team from the National Transportation Safety Board has begun an investigation into why the Ambassadors International Inc. cruise ship Empress of the North ran into trouble Monday morning off the coast of Alaska, forcing passengers and crew to evacuate, has had troubles before.

According to the NTSB the ship was equipped with state of the art navigation technology, including electronic display charts used in navigating the vessel.

The 360-foot ship hit a rock and began taking on water about 50 miles (80 kilometers) off the coast of Juneau in 3-foot seas.

Police Asking for Help Locating Two Attempted Murder Suspects

The suspects left in a dirty red or maroon 1990’s sports coupe with a partial license plate of either 757 or 755.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who are wanted on Attempted Murder, First Degree Robbery, First Degree Burglary, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, and Menacing after an incident yesterday afternoon on Barker Rd in Eugene.

At approximately 3:32 PM, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a call from 64-year-old James Mahoney advising he returned to his house after working in his pasture and found two males armed with handguns in his house.
