(CORVALLIS) - Oregon State scored nine runs over the seventh and eighth innings as the ninth-ranked Beavers beat Portland 12-4 in non-conference baseball Tuesday afternoon at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Jordan Lennerton was 3-for-4 with a grand slam and Mitch Canham had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs for OSU (26-7 overall).
On Tuesday, the Beavers found themselves trailing Portland (14-17) by a 4-3 score going into the bottom of the seventh inning.

(KEIZER) - Western Oregon pounded out 14 hits while six different pitchers combined to keep Willamette at bay as the Wolves topped the Bearcats 13-3 on Tuesday night at Volcanoes Stadium.
With the non-conference win, Western Oregon improved to 16-15 on the season, while Willamette dropped to 13-16 on the year. The victory was the fifth consecutive for the Wolves.
The Wolves jumped out on the Bearcats early, scoring two runs in the first on a two-run single by Kevin Corrigan.

(CORVALLIS) - Beaver pitchers Brianne McGowan and Ta'Tyana McElroy led the way as the No. 17 ranked Oregon State softball team swept a pair of games on Tuesday afternoon against Portland State by scores of 4-0 and 6-2.

(SALEM) - Sophomore second baseman Pat Bailey tied the George Fox University single-game record with three doubles and was one of five teammates to have three hits in the game as the Bruins whipped the Corban College Warriors 17-4 in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.
Bailey tied the GFU record when he doubled down the right-field line to drive in a run in the 2nd, doubled to right-center to lead off the 6th, and doubled to left-center to drive in a run later in the inning and cap a seven-run outburst.

(FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga.) - Former Oregon Quarterback Joey Harrington has signed with the Atlanta Falcons to back up Michael Vick at quarterback.
Harrington, the third overall pick by Detroit in the 2002 draft, started 11 games with Miami last season after being obtained by the Dolphins in a trade with the Lions.
He threw for 2,236 yards with 12 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

The senior center averaged 33.6 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game in leading the Lakers (26-2) to the Class 6A title game.

(SACRAMENTO) - Justin Germano struck out six over five strong innings for a win in his return to the Beavers, and Oscar Robles celebrated his 31st birthday with three hits in Portland’s 5-1 victory over the Sacramento River Cats Monday night at Raley Field.
Germano (1-0), who pitched for the Beavers in 2004 and 2005 before being traded to Cincinnati, allowed just one run and five hits against the River Cats (2-3).
It was his first start with the club since July 19th, 2005, when he tossed a complete-game, four-hit shutout against Sacramento in his final appearance before the trade that sent third baseman Joe Randa to San Diego.
