(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.) - Sam Hornish Jr. has been around historic Daytona International Speedway in an IndyCar machine, IROC car and in a sports car.
During this week's NASCAR Busch Series testing sessions for the season-opening Feb. 17th Orbitz 300, Hornish Jr. took his first laps at "The World Center of Racing" in a stock car.
Hornish Jr., behind the wheel of the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge, quickly found some success by posting the fastest lap in Sunday's afternoon drafting testing session with a speed of 187.833 mph.

(PORTLAND) - Two-time Oregon Horse of the Year and Older Male Champion Lethal Grande won his ninth race at Portland Meadows, and the 22nd of his career Sunday afternoon in the $8,050 Invitational Handicap for older horses.
Breaking on top of the five horse field in the 5-furlong sprint, Lethal Grande busted out fractions of 22 2/5 and 46 seconds while leading at every pole, crossing under the wire 2 ¼-lengths the best, satisfying the chalk players at 80 cents on the dollar.
They completed the five furlongs in 58 3/5.

The Seahawks confirmed Sunday they had come to terms with former Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora to be their assistant head coach to Mike Holmgren and secondary coach.
The son of former NFL head coach Jim Mora Sr., the 45-year-old Mora is an alumnus of the University of Washington and attended Interlake High School in Bellevue.

OSU (11-1 overall, 3-0 Pac-10) won at Wyoming 32-6 in the afternoon, then took a victory at Northern Colorado 25-12 in the evening.

(EUGENE) - In its first regular season matches at home, the University of Oregon Women’s Tennis team shut out the Montana State Bobcats Saturday morning and the Portland Pilots that night at the Student Tennis Center.
In the morning against the Bobcats, Dominka Dieskova and Ana Cecilia Olivos began the sweep with the first win in doubles, cruising to an 8-2 victory.
Claudia Hirt and Carmen Seremeta kept up the momentum with an 8-3 victory in their match, and Anna Powaska and Monica Hoz de Villa also won 8-3.
