(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) -  In a pair of games that were moved up a day due to expected wet weekend weather and shifted to Linfield College’s lighted field, the Pacific Lutheran University Lutes swept the George Fox University Bruins 3-1 and 13-4 in a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader here Friday night.
In the first game, George Fox took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd when Ashley Olson doubled off the fence in left, was sacrificed to third, and scored on an error at short. Read Full Article

(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) -  Senior Ryan Heil turned in a 3-for-5 performance at the plate with a RBI, but Corban's baseball team dropped the opening game of its three-game series, 6-5, to the Hustlin' Owls of Oregon Tech on Friday at Leo J. Bocchi Field.
OIT took initial control of the game by scoring four runs on six hits in the first two innings, but the Warrior's starting pitcher, sophomore Jason Braun, buckled down and pitched three consecutive shutout innings. Read Full Article

(SALEM) -  Freshman Jessica Pierce hit the game-winning home run and sophomore Erin Sailors turned in a 2-hit, 9-strikeout performance in Game #1, as Corban softball team split a conference afternoon double header with the Raiders of Southern Oregon, 3-2 & 0-17, on Friday.

(PORTLAND) -  Portland senior James Allan knocked in three runs and junior David Gruener went the distance as the Pilots topped the San Francisco Dons 5-3 in a West Coast Conference baseball game Friday afternoon at Joe Etzel Field.
It’s the third complete-game this season for Gruener.
Portland picks up its second straight win to improve to 16-20 on the season and 3-7 in the WCC. Read Full Article

(PORTLAND) -  Former and future University of Portland stars Christine Sinclair and Sophie Schmidt helped lead the Canadian National Team to a 1-0 victory over the Pilots Friday evening at Merlo Field.
A crowd of 4,246 welcomed Sinclair back to Portland and were introduced to freshman Sophie Schmidt, who redshirted the fall season while playing with Canada. Read Full Article

(RENO, Nev.) -  Nevada junior guards Marcelus Kemp and Ramon Sessions will make them themselves available for the 2007 National Basketball Association Draft selection process but will not hire agents, Wolf Pack head coach Mark Fox announced Thursday.
Both Kemp and Sessions have filed early-entry paperwork with the NBA, while the deadline for underclassmen to withdraw from draft consideration is Monday, June 18th.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) -  The Oregon State Volleyball team returned to action Thursday evening against the University of Portland at Gill Coliseum.
Kristin Murray led the Beavers to a four game sweep of the Pilots, 30-22, 30-19, 30-23, 15-11.
A pair of kills by Murray, who will be the Beavers’ lone senior in 2007, put OSU ahead to stay.
