Duck junior Derek Sipe, whose school record 62 on Thursday left him one shot out of the lead heading into Friday’s final round, carded a 4-over 74 on the par-70, 6,738-yard Waikoloa Village Golf Course to finish the tournament tied for 12th at 7-under 203.

Junior left fielder Lovena Chaput hit a two-run homer in the nightcap and sophomore right-hander Melissa Rice tossed 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball to lift the Ducks (1-1) over the 49ers (0-1).

Oregon State’s win evens the overall score with Oregon (6-12, 1-8 Pac-10) at 6-6 in the Civil War Series, presented by the Northwest Dodge Dealers.
The remaining points yet to be determined are in men’s basketball, men’s golf, women’s golf and softball.

The visiting Warriors came out of the locker room and shot an amazing 68.0% (17-for-25) from the field, en route to building a 15-point lead (39-24).
In the second half, Corban's defense held Cascade to a mere five made field goals on 28 attempts (17.9%).

Hill scored a career-high 28 points on 10-for-14 shooting from the field and 7-for-12 from the free throw line, as Corban's men's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with an 86-81 win over the Thunderbirds of Cascade on Friday.
Following a minuscule 2-point performance last weekend against Evergreen, Hill provided the spark off the bench in helping lead Corban to its fourth victory of the season and guarantee that the Warriors will finish out of the cellar in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings this season.

George Fox improved to 14-6 overall, 10-3 in the NWC. The Bruins entered the game in second place in the conference.
Willamette was playing without leading scorer Keilyn Fujioka because of a knee injury.

Thanks to the previous win in Tempe, the Beavers will get a chance to end that drought on Saturday in Gill Coliseum.

(SAN DIEGO) - Senior shortstop Mia Longfellow ripped a triple down the right field line to drive in a pair of runs in the fifth inning to help spark No. 6 ranked Oregon State to a 3-1 victory over No. 23 Massachusetts on Friday at the San Diego State Tournament.
The triple was the sixth of Longfellow’s career and helped the Beavers (1-1) push runs across the plate for the first time on the season.
