Seattle is first, ranked fourth in last week’s west region poll, although a 24-point loss at Seattle Pacific will likely mean a slight drop for them when this week’s poll comes out.

This week, the Ducks host Arizona State (6-16, 0-11 Pac-10)on Thursday at 5:30 PM, followed by No. 24 Arizona (15-7, 6-5 Pac-10) on Saturday at 12:30 PM.

(PORTLAND) - The Portland State Athletics Department has released its 2007 football schedule, featuring the eight-game Big Sky Conference slate, the Southland Conference Champion, regional rival UC Davis and Mountain West Conference opponent San Diego State.
Portland State will play a balanced schedule with five home games, including two in September, two in October and one in November.
The Vikings will open at Southland Champion and playoff participant McNeese State (7-5 in 2006) on Sept. 1st.

(BAJA CALIFORNIA, Mexico ) - The No. 47-ranked University of Oregon women’s golf team led the field Monday after the first round of the Baja Classic held at the Bajamar Resort, while the second round was interrupted by fog and will be finished Tuesday morning.
The Ducks were tied with Colorado at 298 after the first round, and remaining official team results and individual placings were unavailable.
Senior Kim McCready led Oregon with a 2-under 70 first round, and carded five birdies and three bogeys.

Both are expected to compete on both the cross country and track teams starting in 2007-08.

Six returning First or Second Team All-Northwest Conference selections will lead the Wildcats in 2007, including junior outfielder Stephanie Rice, senior infielder Meredith Brunette, and junior utility players Amanda Attleberger and Erica Hancock.

He was named Brewers Most Valuable Player by the Milwaukee Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America as he made 143 starts at four different positions (126g at SS, 10g at 3B, 4g at 2B, 3g in CF).
He made his last 116 starts at shortstop for the injured J.J. Hardy.

He started in Willamette’s upset of 13th-ranked the University of Puget Sound on Jan. 26th and provided support off the bench in all of the Bearcats’ other games during the month.

Morning session leader Matt Kenseth still leads all others with his lap of 29.803 sec./181.90 mph, set before lunchtime.
