(SALEM) - The Sprague Olympians fell to (0-2) on the season after losing to the McMinnville Grizzlies 33-7 Friday night in McMinnville.
The West Salem Titans (1-0) got their 2006 season off on the right track by pounding the Newberg Tigers 47-12.
The McKay Royal Scots evened their record to (1-1) in non-conference play blasting the Springfield Millers 40-14 at McKay.

(SALEM) - In their first and only non-conference road game of the season, the George Fox University Bruins tied the score with eight minutes left in regulation, then battled the home-standing Corban College Warriors to a 2-2 double-overtime standoff in men’s soccer action Thursday afternoon here at Warrior Field.
George Fox struck first in the 19th minute when Matt Gurlides gathered a rebound off Corban goalkeeper Aaron Franklin and rifled a shot into the back of the net for his second goal of the season.

Salem-News.com Sports (September 08, 2006 00:14)Wolves Drop GNAC Opener to Vikings, 3-0 Salem-News.com(BELLINGHAM, Wa.) - Western Washington used a balanced attack and a .300 hitting percentage to roll to a 30-20, 30-25, 30-21 conference-opening volleyball win over Western Oregon on Thursday Night at Carver Gymnasium.
The victory improved the Vikings' record to 5-4 on the year and 1-0 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Wolves dropped to 2-9 on the year and 0-1 in league play.
Western Oregon held brief leads in games one and three, but other than that everything went the Vikings way in Bellingham.

(EUGENE) - University of Oregon women’s basketball coach Bev Smith has announced that junior center Gabrielle Richards will not be returning to the Ducks for the upcoming season due to personal reasons.
“Gabe's decision has taken us by surprise and we are disappointed that she will not be able to return to our team,” Smith said. “However, at this time it is best for Gabe's well being that she remains in Australia with her family.

(SALEM) - In its first home match of the season, Corban's women's volleyball team swept cross-town neighbor Willamette, 3-0 (30-20, 38-36, 30-23), behind the first career triple-double by sophomore Jessica McGraw.
McGraw, who was playing her first match against her former Bearcat teammates, registered the first triple double for the Warriors in over two seasons thanks to 10 kills, 16 assists, and 11 digs. Read Full Article

(MONMOUTH) - Western Oregon found its missing offense and they found it often during a 4-0 women’s non-conference soccer victory over Warner Pacific on Tuesday afternoon at the WOU Soccer Field.
The Wolves, who had scored only one total goal previously in three matches, improved to 2-1-1 on the year with the win. The Knights dropped to 0-3.
WOU outshot their visitors 37-2, including 21-0 in the first half. The tally was 17-2 in shots on goal.
