(FOREST GROVE) - Kory Pratt's championship in the 197-pound weight class led the efforts of five Pacific placers in an abbreviated Northwest Open, held Sunday at the Pacific Athletic Center.
Pratt went 2-0 in the 197-pound weight class to claim top honors as all weights were run on a round-robin bracket.
A total of 31 wrestlers participated in six different weight classes.

(SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. ) - Oregon State’s Ty Watterson won a matchup of nationally ranked heavyweights and the 19th-ranked Beavers beat Cal Poly 33-12 in Pac-10 wrestling Sunday afternoon at Mott Gym.
OSU (14-2 overall, 6-1 Pac-10) also got pins from 125-pounder Eric Stevenson and 141-pounder Kyle Larson in the win while 149-pounder Derek Kipperberg, 165-pounder Dan Brascetta and 174-pounder Jeremy Larson all earned major decisions.
Against Cal Poly (5-8, 4-3 Pac-10), Oregon State responded well after a Friday night defeat at California-Davis that saw the Beavers lose three matches by one point and another in overtime.
OSU saw wins slip away in the closing seconds of three of those matches.

Manning was 25-38-247 yards with one touchdown and one interception, as the Colts blew open a close game in the second half to win Super Bowl XLI 29-17 over the Chicago Bears Sunday.
Indianapolis led 16-14 at halftime in what was a sloppy first half of play for both teams.

But the inside chapters have a different twist this year, as the Wolves chase after a winning campaign with a handful of returnees and plenty of newcomers on the roster.
The Wolves will open its campaign on Feb. 10th-11th in Arcata, Calif., playing Humboldt State and Notre Dame de Namur twice.

(MIAMI) - Much of the world -- including China, host of the 2007 NFL China Bowl this summer -- will be watching Super Bowl XLI at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida on Sunday, when the Chicago Bears take on the Indianapolis Colts in front of a potential worldwide audience estimated at one billion people.
A total of 54 international broadcasters will televise the game to 232 countries and territories in 33 languages.
Nineteen television and radio stations from 14 countries will be broadcasting the game from Dolphin Stadium.
