Wolves, Wildcats go Scoreless in Overtime

The Wolves will return home to host Simon Fraser in a non-conference match on Friday (3:00 PM), and will then travel to Seattle to take on the Redhawks on Sunday (1:00 PM)

(ELLENSBURG, Wash) - Central Washington and Western Oregon played 110 minutes without a goal, settling for a 0-0 overtime tie in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer match on Wednesday afternoon.

The outcome moved WOU’s record to 4-3-2 on the season and 0-2-1 in GNAC play. Central Washington is now 4-4-1 overall and is also 0-2-1 in conference action.

Oregon Ducks Weekly Women’s Soccer Digest

The Ducks (4-3) are back home for the first time since their season opener August 25th.

(EUGENE) - Oregon Ducks soccerOregon rides the momentum of a four-game winning streak -- all earned away from Eugene -- into this weekend’s matches with regional opponents Nevada and Idaho.

First up is the Wolf Pack -- undefeated on the road this season -- Friday night at 7:00 PM, followed by the Vandals on Sunday at 1:00 PM.

It will be the Ducks’ first home games since the Aug. 25th season opener.

The Boxers are 3-9 on the season.

Ducks Cross County Teams Ready to Run Past The Competition

Oregon was one of four Pac-10 Conference women's teams that appeared in the first poll of the season, along with No. 1 Stanford, No. 9 Arizona State and No. 21 Washington.

(EUGENE) - Ducks cross countryThe University of Oregon women's cross country team was ranked 30th in the preseason collegiate national women's coaches poll released this past week.

The Ducks are one of seven top-30 ranked women's teams that will race in Eugene next week in the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Fri., September 29th - UO's first home event since 1998.

The high-caliber field features three women's teams ranked top 10 nationally - No. 5 BYU, No. 7 Duke and No. 8 Arkansas.

Tickets Remain For Three Oregon State Football Games

Tickets may be purchased online at osubeavers.com, (800) Go-BEAVS or at the Gill Coliseum ticket office.

(CORVALLIS) - Tickets are still available for each contest of the Oregon State University football team’s upcoming three-game home-stand, starting Saturday against the Idaho Vandals at Reser Stadium. All seats are reserved in the stadium and may be purchased for $36 each.

The Beavers host Dennis Erickson, Jonathan Smith and the Vandals this Saturday at 7:22 PM. Approximately 3,000 tickets remain. This is the final non-conference test before the Pac-10 Conference slate starts.

Willamette Women’s Soccer Team Ranked 18th in NCAA Division III

The Bearcats will play their third consecutive road game on Saturday at Lewis & Clark College.

(MISSION, Kansas) - Willamette logoThe Willamette University women’s soccer team has moved into the NCAA Division III National Rankings conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

The Bearcats, who are 5-0-1 on the season and 2-0-0 in the Northwest Conference, are #18 in the rankings released today. Willamette is tied for #2 in the West Region Rankings, also released today.

Willamette tied the University of California-Santa Cruz, 0-0 in two overtimes, last week when the Banana Slugs were ranked #14 in the National Rankings.

10-0 Ducks Ready to Begin Pac-10 Play

University of Oregon weekly women’s volleyball digest.

(EUGENE) - Ducks volleyballOREGON THIS WEEK: The unranked Ducks (10-0, 0-0) open Pacific-10 conference play at home, hosting No. 3 UCLA (13-0, 0-0) on Thursday and No. 7 USC (11-0, 0-0) on Friday at McArthur Court.

THE WEEK THAT WAS: Oregon polished off its non-conference schedule with three wins in as many matches. The Ducks won at Portland, 3-1, on Tuesday, and swept Gonzaga and Boise State at the Broncos’ tournament on Friday and Saturday. UO took the Boise State Invitational crown for its third tournament victory of the season.

ABOUT THE DUCKS: The Oregon volleyball team welcomes seven newcomers and returns six players from last season’s squad, which finished 12-18 overall, 1-17 in the Pac-10 Conference.

The Saxons (1-2) are hoping to even their record against the Vikings (2-1) who’s defense is one of the best in the conference.
