Bruins and Pios Tie after Scoring in First but No More.

(PORTLAND) - Soccer ball in playAfter trading goals in the first half, the visiting George Fox University Bruins and home-standing Lewis & Clark College Pioneers battled through the second half and two 10-minute overtimes to a 1-1 draw in a Northwest Conference women’s soccer game Thursday night here at Griswold Stadium.
The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead 22:46 into the game when a Katie Burnett corner kick deflected off a Bruin defender and into the net past George Fox goalkeeper Jessica Cardwell for an ‘own goal’.

Warriors Fall in Overtime to No. 14 Simon Fraser

The Warriors continue their mini-break from conference action when they travel to Monmouth for a match-up with Western Oregon on Tuesday, beginning at 4:00 PM.

(SALEM) - In its second straight match against a nationally-ranked opponent, Corban's women's soccer team was helped in the final seconds of regulation by an own goal only to see the game end five minutes into overtime.

Freshmen Lead Chemeketa to Win Over Roadrunners

The storm are now 6-10 overall on the season.

(SALEM) - Chemeketa StormThe Chemeketa Storm downed the Linn-Benton Roadrunners 30-22, 22-30, 30-22, 34-32 in women’s volleyball action Wednesday night at Chemeketa.

Freshman Rebecca Johnston from North Salem High, led the Storm with 3 aces, and 11 digs.

Freshman Meghan Zimbrick from Willamina High led the Storm in kills with 16.

Corban Women’s Volleyball Weekly Digest

The Warriors are 0-5 in CCC play, and 2-9 overall.

(SALEM) - Corban volleyballTHIS WEEK: After one conference and one non-conference match last week, Corban prepares to hit the road this week for a pair of conference matches.

On Friday, the Warriors will travel south to Klamath Falls for a match against the Hustlin’ Owls of Oregon Tech beginning at 7:00 PM.

On Saturday, Corban continues its road trip with a conference match against Southern Oregon, who received votes in the latest NAIA coaches’ poll.

OSU Softball Holding Alumni Game On Saturday

The game is being played in conjunction with Hall Of Fame weekend.

(CORVALLIS) - Oregon State’s softball program will hold an alumni game on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the OSU Softball Complex. The game will feature 21 former Beaver players returning to campus for the Hall of Fame weekend celebration.

All-American Erin Capps becomes the first softball player to be inducted into the Oregon State Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Friday night and will be recognized again at halftime of Saturday’s football game against Idaho.

Capps lettered from 1982-85 and was the Beavers’ first All-American in softball in 1983.

Corban Women’s Soccer Digest

Warriors host NAIA’s No. 12 Simon Fraser Thursday.

(SALEM) - Corban soccerTHIS WEEK: After playing three games last week, including two conference matches, Corban welcomes a mini-break with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ (NAIA) No. 12-ranked Clan of Simon Fraser.

SERIES NOTES: Corban and Simon Fraser have met 12 times in the series history with the Clan winning 10-out-of-11 games with 1 tie.

Last season, the two teams battled to a 0-0 tie in Burnaby, British Columbia. Then-junior goalkeeper Kim Mendenhall registered a season high 13 saves in 110 minutes of action.
