(KEIZER) - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes are seeking a corporate partner interested in ballpark naming rights and turning Volcanoes Stadium into an interactive corporate experience.
"Until now, Minor League Naming Rights were tied to fan exposure and hospitality options," said Volcanoes owner Jerry Walker. "But now 'living' a brand has become very important for both companies and fans. We believe we're the first to do this."
As part of the partnership, the Volcanoes are considering an interactive section of the ballpark where more than 115,000 fans will "live" the partner's brand. Read Full Article

(MONMOUTH) - The Western Oregon baseball team held the No. 1 ranking for the third straight week in the official NCAA Division II west region poll announced today, and they moved up one spot to seventh in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer`s Association national list.
The Wolves have won 15 consecutive games and have just four regular-season contests left. The poll is based strictly on a ratings system that includes six different categories. The Wolves, in part because of a solid record against highly ranked teams in the region, have kept the top spot. Read Full Article

Macy arrives at OSU from the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association, where he was the assistant strength coach since September of 2001.

Over 500 athletes competed in the meet, which began in warm afternoon sun and was completed after 11:00 PM under the stadium lights.
The University of Oregon's Colin Veldman established a stadium record in the men's discus, tossing the disk 182-0. The old mark was held by Western Oregon's Brian Crawford (168-8) in 2000. Read Full Article

He needed to finish in the top six in order to become #1 in the world.
