(MONMOUTH) - Western Oregon outscored Saint Martin’s 30-11 in the first seven minutes of the second half, keying a 94-83 Wolves men’s basketball win on Thursday night in front of 1,050 at the Physical Education Building.
Senior post Jacob Mitchell scored 31 points, marking the third straight game that he has hit for 30 or better.
The win is the second straight for WOU, improving to 10-16 on the season and to 5-10 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

(HONOLULU ) - The No. 17-ranked University of Oregon softball team wrapped up Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Invitational opening day action with its second win Thursday, a 7-1 decision over host No. 24 Hawaii, at Wahine Stadium on the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus.
Oregon’s hitting attack was sparked by the top of its lineup as sophomore centerfield Sari-Jane Jenkins and freshman Jennifer Salling each had a pair of hits and RBI, while senior first baseman Kristi Leiter scored twice and also had a hit.
On the mound for UO, sophomore right-hander Melissa Rice notched a complete game and recorded four strikeouts.
