(Greeley, Colo.) - Wesley Washington hit the game-winning shot Friday as the Oregon State Beavers defeated Northern Colorado, 69-67.
Marcel Jones had a career-high 35 points. He breaks a long drought, as he is the first Beaver to score 30 or more since Jan. 4th, 2000, when Brian Jackson scored 32 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Kyle Jeffers had his second consecutive double-double.

(CORVALLIS) - Oregon State fans have a lot to be thankful for this Holiday weekend.
For Oregon fans, Friday brought heartbreak and frustration after a 30-28 loss to the Beavers in the 110th edition of the Civil War.
Beavers placekicker Alexis Serna kicked a 40-yard field goal with 1:12 left, and Oregon State defensive lineman Ben Siegert blocked Matt Evensen 44-yard potential game-winning kick as Oregon State held on to beat the Ducks, 30-28.
Serna also connected from 49 and 50 yards.

(CORVALLIS) - Oregon State men’s basketball coach Jay John announced Tuesday that junior forward Sasa Cuic has been suspended indefinitely.
Cuic (Rijeka, Croatia) started the first four games, then came off the bench in OSU’s loss at Hawaii on Sunday.
Cuic is averaging 10.6 points per game.
The Beavers next have a two-game road trip to Northern Colorado Friday and Montana State on Sunday.

(MEDFORD) - Ryan Dunn, Ronnie Lee, Jake McCoy and Justin Pearch all made the finals matches of their respective weight classes and finished second during the Best of the West Classic, held over the weekend in Medford, Oregon and hosted by Southern Oregon University.
Lee, wrestling in front of his hometown crowd, won the majority of his matches during the tournament by comfortable margins, recording two technical falls and one major decision before falling 8-2 in the championship match the Mike Kummer of Great Falls.

The game is also worth two points in the Northwest Dodge Dealers Civil War Series, an annual intercollegiate competition between OSU and UO.

(CORVALLIS) - A total of 19 Oregon State student-athletes have been named to the various men’s and women’s soccer Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic teams, the league office announced today.
The OSU men put three players on the first team, five on the second team and four on the honorable mention squad.
The Beavers, with 12 players honored, had more selections than any other school (Stanford was second with nine), and it was more than twice as many as OSU has ever had before (five in both 2003 and 2005).

(LONG BEACH, Calif.) - Jessie Shetters recorded the first double-double of her career, leading the University of Oregon women’s basketball team past Long Beach State, 44-33, Sunday afternoon at The Pyramid.
The Ducks (2-0) used a strong defense and productive bench for the second straight game, limiting the 49ers (0-4) to 25 percent shooting.
Shetters, a 6-6 senior post from Portland, Ore., had career highs of 12 points and 12 rebounds, while adding three blocked shots in the defensive affair.

(CORVALLIS) - All Oregon State University students may pick up tickets for the 110th Civil War football game against Oregon on Monday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
The tickets will be available at the ticket windows at the front entrance to Gill Coliseum, and students must bring their current OSU identification when picking up tickets.
Approximately 900 tickets remain.
